(a) Title: Mahendra Singh Dhoni - a Bio-Sketch.

Objective: To be able to collect information about Dhoni and write his bio-sketch.

Step-I Collect information about M.S. Dhoni

You may include:

(i) his birth, birth place year etc.

(ii) his family background, education

(iii) his education, interests and inspiring personality

(iv) his entry into the field of cricket

(v) his career as a cricketer

(vi) his achievements, awards, honours

(vii) his personal life

Step-II : Select the important information to be included in the sketch. Select important points

which will motivate and inspire sports persons to take up the game.

Step-III : Imagine that you are Dhoni. A journalist wants to write your biography. What important

things would you like to be included in the biography?

Step-IV : Write a bio-sketch based on your information.

(b) You must have noticed the deplorable condition of children working at roadside eateries. As a

social activist, you feel concerned about the problem. Write a project on the topic – Child Labour.

Title : Child Labour.

Objective : To draw the attention of the society as how after several laws and efforts by government

and non-government agencies, the problem of child labour still persists.

Step-I : Interview some children working in small scale industrial places - households and dhabas



etc. Prepare a questionnaire for this purpose.

Step-II : Interview the employers of such place and try to find out the reasons of employing

underage children for the jobs.

Step-III : Collect and analyse the data under specific heads i.e. type of work, age group, reasons

etc.

Step-IV : Suggest measures to check the problem.
